      No fear for Beenhakker

      15 Jun 2006 - 11:00:22

Trinidad & Tobago coach Leo Beenhakker insists his side have no reason to feel inferior to England's star players in Thursday's Group B clash.

Beenhakker was not impressed by England's performance as they opened their World Cup campaign with a 1-0 victory against Paraguay last Saturday.

That display, coupled with the Soca Warriors' battling goalless draw against Sweden, has convinced him his team can take maximum points in Nuremberg.

"There is no guarantee for the big teams to win easily," said the Dutchman.

"England struggled the whole 90 minutes against Paraguay, Sweden struggled the whole 90 minutes against Trinidad, once again showing it is not as easy as everyone thinks it is.

"I can assure you that when my players get the ball, they will not be thinking of the great Lampard, the great Gerrard or the great Beckham, they are trying to get in front and do something nice with the ball.

"We'll try and win the game, you cannot prepare a team to draw or lose a match.

"I've said it 100 times, no one has to explain to me that on paper there's a lot of difference in the talent England can bring on the pitch to what Trinidad can.

"A difference in talent you can compensate for in football by playing with a lot of passion and courage. That is what we will do."
