Shuker's season could be over

Tranmere Rovers midfielder Chris Shuker is unlikely to play again this season after undergoing surgery on his broken arm.

The 26-year-old, who has made 35 appearances for Ronnie Moore's side so far this season, suffered the injury in a freak accident at home last week.

"It's been pinned and plated and Chris will be out for 13 weeks," Moore told the Daily Post.

"It's crazy - he fell at home and went over on his arm. Players are only human. These things happen."
