Shotton keen on Rovers stay

Defender Ryan Shotton is hoping to extend his loan stay at Tranmere Rovers.

The 19-year-old joined the League One club from Stoke City last month on an initial four-week loan deal.

"I'm going to work hard here to progress my career," said Shotton.

"(Stoke manager) Tony Pulis told me just to come here, get experience and enjoy it.

"I'm here for a month but it's a very good possibility that I will be here longer than that."
