Sharps backs Rovers revival

Tranmere Rovers defender Ian Sharps is confident that his club have enough quality to put their poor start to the season behind them and start moving up the League One table.

Brian Little's men are currently languishing fifth from bottom, having failed to pick up a win in their last seven games, but Sharps feels if they continue to keep putting in the effort their luck will change and the results will come.

The 25-year-old told the Daily Post: "You find that the harder you work the luckier you get. We are putting a lot of hard work in on the training ground and it will pay off."

He added: "For most of every game the lads have defended well and if we can start scoring more goals that will help take a bit of pressure off the defence.

"With the quality we have got up front we know we can score the goals."
