Rovers midfielder to miss Os clash

Published: 20 Nov 2009 - 11:51:07

Mahon has been ruled out for up to four weeks after suffering torn ankle ligaments against Orient in the FA Cup first-round tie at Prenton Park earlier this month. He subsequently sat out Tuesday's 1-0 replay win at Brisbane Road and an MRI scan has now shown up the full extent of the damage, with the 31-year-old requiring three to four weeks on the sidelines. Gareth Edds has missed the last two games after catching chickenpox and could miss out again but Parry has been delighted with the progress of rookie Ash Taylor, who scored the winning goal in Tuesday's FA Cup win after playing in midfield. Parry said: "Ash is a confident young lad and whatever position he plays in, he does a good job for us." Leyton Orient v Tranmere. Click here to bet.
