Rovers caretaker looking for support

Published: 15 Oct 2009 - 12:56:43

Rovers' popular physio has been placed in temporary charge following the sacking of manager John Barnes and assistant Jason McAteer last week. Parry was unable to prevent a 1-0 defeat at home to Stockport on Monday but chairman Peter Johnson revealed the search for a permanent successor to Barnes is well underway. Parry said: "It's a massive game for us against Brighton on Saturday and we need the fans to get behind us like they did against Stockport. "The crowd were absolutely magnificent. They supported us all game, which was great to see. "All three home sides of the ground got really behind us and we appreciate it."
