Rovers boss to wait on assistant

Shirtliff joined Rovers as Moore's assistant two years ago but is keen to team up with Swindon boss and former Sheffield Wednesday team-mate Danny Wilson. Moore said: "At the present time I am in no rush to appoint a new assistant. I will take my time with the decision as it has to be the right person for the job. "I will be sorry to see Peter leave but respect his decision to link up with his friend Danny Wilson at Swindon. "We have had two good years together and I'd like to thank him for all his hard work and wish him all the best for the future."
