Rovers boss remains optimistic

Published: 29 Mar 2009 - 14:45:39

A 0-0 draw at the Withdean Stadium leaves Rovers four points adrift of the top six in League One, but Moore remains upbeat "We got a point when we wanted three and it was a game when we didn't get to a higher tempo," said Moore, who was furious that his side weren't awarded a spot-kick by referee Simon Hooper when Charlie Barnett was brought down by Andrew Whing. "It was a definite penalty and a foul from behind. The referee, in his first season on the national list, got the decision wrong. "We defended well and got a nice clean sheet, but attacking wise it didn't happen for us." Rovers have six games remaining to make up the deficit and host Bristol Rovers next weekend.
