Rovers axe falls on Moore

Tranmere Rovers have sacked manager Ronnie Moore after three seasons at the helm of the League One club.
The Prenton Park board has blamed his failure to guide the club into the play-offs last season and dwindling attendances for the decision.
Rovers finished seventh in the League One table last season, while the club claim that attendances have dropped by over 19 per cent since Moore was appointed in June 2006.
"I'd like to thank Ronnie for his services to the club over the last three seasons and to wish him well for the future," chairman Peter Johnson told the club's official website.
"We now need to focus on next season and we will start the process of finding a new manager and assistant manager immediately in preparation for the pre season training which starts on July 1."
Earlier in the week, Moore's number two, Peter Shirtliff, left to join Swindon Town.
