Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore is happy to bide his time this summer and wait for the right signings to come along.

Prenton Park has seen little in the way of transfer arrivals, but Moore is satisfied that his small squad will be ready to face Swindon on August 9, with or without new faces.

"There's no panic," he told the club's official website.

"A lot of things will fall into place at the last minute. We've got to make sure we make the right signings for the club to take us forward.

"We're speaking to players and hope to make signings within the next couple of weeks.

"There are a lot of players available, but it's important we sign players who will improve the team, not just to make up numbers.

"I'm looking forward to getting the players back in for pre-season training and working towards (August)."
