Parry looking for home comforts

Published: 13 Dec 2009 - 11:36:46

Rickie Lambert took his tally to 17 league goals for the season with a second-half double after defender Dan Harding broke the deadlock. The result ended Tranmere's five-game unbeaten run but Parry said: "It will be our home form which keeps us up. "If we win all our home games between now and the end of the season we will stay up but that's probably not going to happen, so we will have to pick up a few points here and there on the road." Parry admitted he is still unclear as to his own future at Prenton Park where he has been in caretaker charge for eight weeks and 13 games. Parry, who also combines the role of caretaker manager with that of physio, said: "The chairman normally phones me once a week for a chat and ends it by saying 'by the way are you okay to take charge on Saturday?' He hasn't phoned for the past two weeks so he probably assumes I'm still happy to do it."
