Parry keeping players on their toes
Published : 08 Dec 2010 15:00:35
Tranmere manager Les Parry is attempting to keep his players sharp in body and mind this week as the Arctic weather continues to grip the country. The biggest concern for Parry is to find different training facilities to keep the players fit and ready for action at a time when the club's Raby Vale training ground is frozen and unusable. On Monday they were able to make use of a larger indoor facility at Liverpool FC's Academy in Kirkby, thanks to a generous gesture from their Merseyside neighbours.Parry told the Liverpool Echo: "We are looking to do things out of the ordinary because players get fed up quickly."We go out to West Kirby and run down the beach to Red Rocks and do some more work on the sand there. We also run along the Wirral Way."It is important to get the players out in the fresh air and those players who are from outside this area get a little look around the posher parts of the Wirral."
