Parry hails `high-energy` Rovers

Tranmere manager Les Parry felt his side should have taken all three points against Charlton but had nothing but praise for his charges as they came away with a 1-1 draw.On-loan keeper Peter Gulacsi spilled an early free-kick on his Rovers debut to hand Scott Wagstaff an easy opener for a Charlton side who have had a mixed start to the season. Both teams had chances in an entertaining encounter at Prenton Park and it was Tranmere who deservedly claimed a share of the spoils when Dale Jennings` header was blocked by Therry Racon and Enoch Showunmi was on hand to fire home the loose ball."We deserved to win but you don't always get what you deserve in football," he said. "Our performance was really pleasing. The way the players battled was magnificent after an unfortunate early blunder cost us a goal. It was just a bit of a blip for our keeper and he soon got into the swing of things."We gave a high-energy display. Heads did not drop throughout the 90 minutes."Charlton were very physical and I would like the referee to have protected us a bit more. But the lads coped well and we refused to be bullied off the ball. They gave 110%."
