Parry defends Rovers despite loss

Published: 24 Feb 2010 - 10:12:00

Lee Novak scored twice as the Terriers went 10 league games without defeat for the first time since 2001. Tranmere slipped to within two places and one point of the relegation zone despite what Parry described as one of his side's better performances of the season. Parry felt Novak's second goal was decisive, and said: "I thought our first half performance was one of our better displays of the season and we were unlucky to go in a goal down. "But Huddersfield are a very good side and are always likely to punish you on the break as they did for their second goal. "They scored at two good times. We felt we could get an equaliser in the second half but their second goal absolutely killed us. I can't have any complaints really"
