Moore to consider Goodison appeal

Published: 14 Apr 2009 - 11:08:24

Bas Savage and Charlie Barnett netted first-half goals as the home side recorded their 15th home win of the season. Goodison saw red for a lunge before Steve Guinan scored from the spot after Ryan Shotton had fouled Jennison Myrie-Williams, but the hosts held on. Moore said: "The penalty was an absolute joke. No-one in the ground could see why the referee gave it. "The sending off was disappointing and I will have to have a look at it. It is difficult to say why but until I have seen the video I cannot make a decision on whether to appeal. "It will certainly hurt us a lot if Goodison is suspended. We were fatigued in the second half and it was never brilliant but we deserved to win it. We now face a real six-pointer in our next outing at Leeds."
