Moore rules out rush move

Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore says he will take his time to try and find the right man to replace Kevin Ellison at Prenton Park.

Left-winger Ellison has returned to Chester City and Moore is putting his faith in Rovers youngster Steve Davies for the time being.

He told the Daily Echo: "We still have scope to bring a left-sided player into the squad. With Kevin Ellison moving to Chester it leaves us a little bit short in that position.

"We are looking but they are not easy to find and I won't be rushed into signing someone.

"I think Davo is going to be good enough, but he has to prove it.

"I also have to be ready to find some competition for him and it may be something we do through a loan."
