Moore relieved to progress

Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore was pleased with the result if not his side's display in the FA Cup first round replay victory against Accrington Stanley.

Chris Shuker's fifth goal of the season proved to be enough to beat John Coleman's side and seal a second round tie at Peterborough United, but Moore expected better of his side.

He said: "The goal was about the only thing that was right about the performance.

"We didn't play particularly well all night and played badly at times. It was a horrible performance and probably the worst we've played for a while.

"But we came away with a win and a clean sheet and we're into the second round - that's what counts.

"Accrington will be a little bit frustrated that they didn't take it into extra-time but, over the two games, I think we deserved to go through."
