Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has called on everyone at Prenton Park to remain positive after Rovers failed to reach the League One play-offs.
Rovers finished ninth in the table after a poor run of form towards the end of the campaign, but Moore refuses to be downcast.
He said: "It annoys me a little bit when people talk about us having a disappointing end to the season.
"Yes, it has been frustrating, but if the season had been the other way around and we have finished well instead of starting so well, then a lot of people would be thinking we can have a heck of a chance next season.
"So I do not see why there should be any reason to be down in the mouth, it is just that the season worked out the other way around for us.
"My aim is to be playing Championship football and we need everyone to believe in that."
