Moore left to rue missed chances

Published: 18 Jan 2009 - 16:40:02

Marc Laird's second-half header consigned Rovers to a defeat that leaves them down in 10th but Moore refused to criticise his side, who equalled Kenny Jackett's side for much of the game. The Rovers boss also pointed the finger at referee Roger East, who booked seven players. "I don't know how we came away with nothing," he said. "It's difficult because we had opportunities but didn't take them, and if you don't take opportunities at a place like this, you're in trouble. "Also you need a strong referee when you come here, there were one or two decisions against us. Zak Whitbread should have been sent off, I don't like to see players sent off, but it was a clinical foul out wide and it's a second yellow card so he should be off."
