Moore hails Rovers win

Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore was pleased with his side's efforts after they won 2-0 at home to Chesterfield.

Goals from John Mullin and Chris Greenacre gave Rovers the points and raised their hopes of a play-off finish.

Moore said: "It was a good night's work. We were the better side and deserved the victory.

"I have got nothing but praise for the players. We could easily have had three or four in the first half.

"We needed the win and I was pleased with everybody.

"We tried our best at 1-0 to let them back in it, but fortunately we survived."
