Moore challenge for Rovers

03 December 2008 11:13
Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore has urged his side to build on some impressive recent performances and challenge for promotion from League One. Rovers are currently ninth in the table, with Moore confident that there is more to come from his squad. He told the Daily Post: "I am encouraged by the way we are playing. I think that when our players are fit, we have a squad that's as good as anyone's in the division. "We are not frightened of any team. We've played three of the top sides in recent games, Southend, Scunthorpe and Peterborough, won one and drew two and were the better team in all three games. "But it's not all about performances, because we are still playing well and not winning games. We need to be able to kill teams off when we are on top."
