Moore calms Savage fears

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has allayed fears that Bas Savage faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The 27-year-old former Millwall star missed Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Hartlepool but should be able to feature this weekend.

Moore said: "We all thought it might be six to eight weeks, but the word is that there's no long-term damage."

Of his side's display at Hartlepool, the Rovers boss added: "We've got to be positive. We had 16 players today and the side picked itself.

"Hopefully we'll have one or two back for Saturday. We've got to have more of a threat."
