McCready set for second Rovers bow

Published: 22 Jan 2010 - 16:42:39

McCready, who played for Tranmere earlier in his career, has joined the Prenton Park club until May after losing his place at Sixfields following the return to form of Craig Hinton. Rovers boss Les Parry, whose only injury absentee is striker Bas Savage (Achilles), is delighted to have signed McCready and is now trying to add a striker. He said: "We are keeping clean sheets and fortunately our injury record to date has been unbelievable, but that might not carry on. "It's an area of the field we needed strengthening in. Now that is put to bed everything is focussed on finding a striker."
