Leeds travel to Merseyside
14 Jun 2007 - 10:12:51
Leeds United have been handed a trip to Tranmere Rovers on the opening day of the League One campaign.
The former Premier League club - who will play in the third tier of English football for the first time in their history - travel to Prenton Park on August 11.
Elsewhere, Luton Town have been drawn at home to promoted Hartlepool United following their own relegation from the Championship last season.
Southend United also dropped from the second tier last season and will host Leyton Orient at Roots Hall.
Meanwhile, League Two champions Walsall welcome Carlisle United to the Bescot Stadium, runners-up Swindon Town take on Northampton Town away and play-off winners Bristol Rovers will travel to the Potteries to take on Port Vale.
Remaining fixtures:
Cheltenham Town v Gillingham, Crewe Alexandra v Brighton, Doncaster Rovers v Millwall, Huddersfield Town v Yeovil Town, Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth, Oldham Athletic v Swansea City.
