Greenacre blow for Rovers

Tranmere Rovers have lost striker Chris Greenacre for up to two months with a foot injury.

Greenacre has sat out the last two games after dislocating a bone and rupturing a tendon in his foot during the 1-0 win over Brighton on December 20.

"Greeny has done a tendon in his foot, so he will be in a cast for four weeks and it will be six to eight weeks before he is back and able to play," manager Ronnie Moore told the club's official website.

However, Rovers could welcome back fellow frontman Craig Curran from a stomach injury ahead of schedule.

"We thought it might be three or four weeks, but with a bit of luck it might be ten days," added Moore.
