Broomes returns for Hatters visit

Published: 11 Oct 2009 - 12:24:41

Broomes was sent off during the 5-0 thumping at Millwall and subsequently missed the midweek defeat at Bury in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy through suspension. The experienced centre-back is now available again after serving a one-match ban and could earn an immediate recall at the expense of youngster Ash Taylor. Caretaker boss Les Parry, placed in charge following the sacking of boss John Barnes and assistant Jason McAteer on Friday, will contemplate making further changes as he bids to find a winning formula. After losing heavily at Millwall, Barnes made six changes to his starting line-up against Bury and a similar amount cannot be ruled out, but striker Bas Savage (Achilles) remains a long-term absentee.
