Boss Moore delighted with victory

Published: 22 Mar 2009 - 17:10:45

Goals from Charlie Barnett and Ian Moore in Saturday's League One clash ensured it would be an unhappy return for Latics boss Royle, and former Oldham manager Moore was quick to take a swipe at the club's hierarchy. Moore said: "I was worried about the Joe factor and there was all that reminiscing about what he achieved here before, but this is 2009 and people should remember that. "There's no doubt Joe did magnificent things, but times change and it's a pity Oldham's supporters don't change with them. "I got some stick, as I always do. It's a love-hate relationship - I love them, they hate me. "Maybe they don't like me because I did a good job and kept them up a few years ago. Now John Sheridan has been sacked after being in the top six all season. It makes you wonder if Oldham want a successful manager."
