Barnett inks new Rovers deal

Tranmere Rovers midfielder Charlie Barnett has penned a new one-year deal with John Barnes' side.

The 20-year-old has made 34 appearances for the League One side since making his debut on the opening day of last season.

"I really enjoyed my first year at Tranmere so I'm pleased to have signed a new contract," Barnett told the club's official website.

"With the new manager and the signings he's already made hopefully we can do even better than last season."
