Wootton: It's my goal

Tranmere's on-loan defender Scott Wootton is claiming the late equaliser that clinched Rovers a point in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Brighton in his first appearance for the club. The 19-year-old insists he got a touch on Aaron Cresswell's 87th-minute free-kick after arriving on loan from Manchester United last week in time to make his debut. Wootton told the club's official website: "It was brilliant. I couldn't have asked for it to be any better. "I thought I'd played well anyway, but then to equalise in the last few minutes against Brighton, who were top, I couldn't have dreamt it better. "I'm definitely claiming it, I don't care what anyone says! You definitely couldn't give it to Cresswell as he took the free-kick."
