Bell-Baggie set for start

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has hinted he may hand Abdulai Bell-Baggie a start against MK Dons.

The 21-year-old winger impressed off the bench during the 1-1 draw at Rotherham in midweek and Moore hinted in his Thursday press conference that he could be tempted to use the winger from the start in a 4-4-2 system.

Ian Goodison serves the second game of his three-match ban, while Joe Thompson (illness), Andy Robinson and James Wallace (both knee), Sam Ramsbottom (ankle), Evan Horwood (groin) and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (abscess) are all still in the treatment room.

Midfielder Steve Jennings is set to make his second home debut at Prenton Park after returning to the club after a four-year absence ahead of Tuesday's draw.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has confirmed new signing Jordan Spence will start at centre-back.

Spence, signed on loan from West Ham on a deal until November 23, will make his debut for the Milton Keynes club alongside Shaun Williams who returns from a one-match suspension.

Also expected to come back is goalkeeper David Martin, having missed the home defeat to Carlisle on Tuesday night with a calf injury. However, Stephen Gleeson, also suffering from a calf problem, will probably remain on the sidelines along with fellow midfielders Dean Bowditch (hip) and Dele Alli (ankle) and defender Antony Kay (hip).

Despite the absentees, Robinson does have competition for places - most notably at right-back with Lee Hodson, Jon Otsemobor and George Baldock all vying for the starting berth.
