Jones missing for Rovers

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore will be without Andrai Jones for the Capital One Cup clash with Bolton.

The on-loan Barnsley defender will serve the first match of a three-game ban for his dismissal in Saturday's 5-0 defeat at the hands of Peterborough.

On a more positive note, defender Danny Holmes is available for selection after serving a one-game suspension on Saturday.

Moore will check on Akpo Sodje (knock) ahead of kick-off but he is not expected to be ready in time to feature.

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman will run the rule over Chris Eagles.

The former Manchester United forward has been out since the opening day of the season with an ankle injury but could recover in time to play some part on Tuesday.

Summer signing Andre Moritz, who featured as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to QPR, could make his first start for Wanderers.

Midfielders Stuart Holden and Mark Davies and defender Joe Riley remained sidelined with knee injuries but otherwise Freedman has no fresh injury concerns
