Rovers battle back to win

League One leaders Tranmere came from behind to claim a 3-2 win against 10-man Yeovil and extend their unbeaten run to 13 games.

Two counter-attacking goals from Paddy Madden and Sam Foley had put Yeovil ahead at the break but James Wallace, Jake Cassidy and Danny Holmes sealed Tranmere's comeback.

Irish Under-21 international Madden put Yeovil ahead after nine minutes with his third goal for the Glovers, firing past a wrong-footed Owain Fon Williams from six yards out.

Foley doubled the visitors' lead on 29 minutes as Tranmere failed to deal with Keanu Marsh-Brown's deep cross and the unmarked Irishman smashed home from six yards.

Former Everton man Wallace got Tranmere back into it before the break with a powerful header from Adam McGurk's cross for his second this term.

On-loan Wolves striker Cassidy drew Tranmere level after 51 minutes when he fired home his eighth of the season past Marek Stech.

Joe Edwards was dismissed midway through the second half when he clipped Zoumana Bakayogo to pick up a second yellow card.

And Holmes then completed the comeback on 78 minutes, when he took the ball from a short corner and fired past Stech at the second attempt.
