Liam Sercombe grabbed a 65th-minute equaliser but Exeter's poor home form continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Tranmere. The Grecians have now gone five games without a win on home soil and had to dig deep for a point after Zoumana Bakayogo's first-half opener for Rovers. Despite a promising start from Exeter it was Tranmere who struck first on 16 minutes when defender Bakayogo got the better of two players down the left flank. As goalkeeper Ban Hamer slipped, Bakayogo curled a fine shot into a vacant net from 20 yards. Ryan Harley made Exeter's equaliser on 65 minutes as his fine run ended with a shot that was blocked before Sercombe followed up his own shot to scramble the ball into the net. The Grecians had the better of things after the equaliser, but Tranmere held on to claim a well-earned point.
