Savage still out for Latics meeting
Savage has not been involved in any first-team action since suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon at Leeds last April.[LNB]However, the former Millwall frontman played in a practice match on Saturday and is steadily moving towards full fitness.[LNB]Savage is the only player unavailable to Parry, who has been told that some funds will be made available to recruit new signings.[LNB]Parry said: "It's not a great deal of money and we are going to have to be careful we spend it wisely by getting the right person in.[LNB]"But at least we are not now waiting on telephone calls from other clubs to take our players."[LNB][LNB]
