Savage empathises with Beckham
Beckham has undergone surgery in Finland on the ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered during AC Milan's victory over Chievo on Sunday.[LNB]The 34-year-old will be out for a minimum of six months, ruling him out of the World Cup and raising doubts over his entire career.[LNB]Savage was sidelined with the same injury for 11 months and said: "He'll be gutted. He's worked hard to get to a stage where he's got a decent chance of going to the World Cup and then this happens.[LNB]"Having been in the same position of injuring my Achilles it's tough to take.[LNB]"I did it last year - obviously not on the same stage he was at but I was pushing for a place in the play-offs.[LNB]"You feel robbed of the chance. It's a really painful injury but I'm sure he's got the best medical people looking after him."[LNB][LNB]
