Rovers wait on Broomes

Tranmere defender Marlon Broomes is waiting to learn whether his season is over after being stretchered off against Southampton with a knee injury. Broomes, forced out of the action in the 24th minute, will be sidelined for at least two months and is hoping he has not damaged his cruciate ligament. Manager Les Parry said: "I believe he may have snapped his MCL (medial collateral ligament), which if he has, we're looking at at least two months. "Let's just hope he hasn't done his cruciate. He actually heard something snap so let's hope it's just his MCL."
