Rovers release Cathalina

Tranmere have cancelled the contract of defender Tim Cathalina by mutual consent. Cathalina joined Rovers last season from Dutch side FC Emmen, but has played just nine games during an injury-hit season. Manager Les Parry said: "Things haven't quite worked out for Tim during his time here. "He's not played as many games as either he or we would have liked due to injuries, so allowing him to leave now gives him the chance to begin looking for another club before the majority of players in the summer. "In his time at the club Tim has been a valuable member of the squad, who has shown a great attitude and I wish him all the best for the rest of his career."
