Rovers land Gulacsi on loan

Tranmere have solved their goalkeeping crisis by signing Peter Gulacsi on an emergency loan deal from Liverpool. With Gunnar Nielsen and Simon Miotto sidelined through injury, it left Rovers with only one professional keeper in Joe Collister. So boss Les Parry has moved to bring Gulacsi back to Prenton Park following a previous spell on loan at the club last season. The 20-year-old Hungarian joined Liverpool in August 2008 and was a regular in their reserve side last season. He then moved to Tranmere on loan in April and played five times. Gulacsi also played in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Egypt, where his nation reached the semi-finals. He will be available for the home match against Charlton on Saturday, and Parry said: "Joe Collister has done really well for us this season but it's his first extended run in the team and a lot to ask of a young goalkeeper to keep playing every week. "Peter showed his qualities in the five games he played for us last season and I'm sure he will do just as well this time."
