Rovers announce deals for duo
Tranmere boss Les Parry has revealed that Sunderland duo Michael Kay and Robbie Weir have agreed to join the club on a permanent basis this summer.
The pair, both currently on loan from the Stadium of Light, are expected to sign during the close season.
Parry told Tranmere Player: "We've negotiated with both players and they'll sign on the 1st of July.
"We've got an agreement with both of them and they'll be great additions to our squad.
"They've had to establish themselves quickly, especially Michael with Timothy [Cathalina] getting injured and Scott Wootton going back to Manchester United. He's come in and done a good job for us.
"Robbie is Mr Versatile. He can do a job for us in a number of positions."
