Parry: We were deserving winners

Tranmere boss Les Parry felt his side were worthy of a 2-0 victory over fellow strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge which eased their relegation fears. First-half goals from Enoch Showunmi and Ian Goodison moved Rovers six points clear of the drop zone and left the Daggers languishing just a point above fourth-bottom Bristol Rovers. Parry said: "It was all about the result. "It was nice to get a decent performance as well as the points. We created a lot of chances and should have had more goals. "But the early strike was very important. Dagenham did not give up for the full 90 minutes and full credit to them. "Our lads stuck to the task and we were deserving winners."
