Pawel Abbott was the hero with the only goal just before half-time, while Latics goalkeeper Dean Brill produced two fine saves late on to deny substitute Marvin Sordell.[LNB]Yet Parry refused to be too downbeat as he switched his focus to the upcoming trips to Gillingham and Southend.[LNB]He said: "I had an inkling we were going to struggle to get something. It turned out to be a difficult afternoon for us. It was a rather flat performance and deservedly we were beaten.[LNB]"We should have scored near the end but we should have created more chances than we did.[LNB]"Oldham came here to kill the game and made a good job of it. It is no good me shouting at the lads. My job is to lift them for two away games next week.[LNB]"It would have been nice to have got something but it wasn't to be and we have just got to keep on plodding away."[LNB][LNB]
