Parry to take closer look at trialists

Tranmere boss Les Parry will continue to assess a number of trialists as he looks to shape his squad ahead of the new season. Rovers' latest pre-season friendlies ended with a 3-2 win over Marine and a 1-1 draw against Colwyn Bay on Saturday. A mixture of first-team players, youth players and trialists all featured, with Parry taking charge at Marine and Kevin Summerfield at Colwyn Bay. "I'm trying to watch the games and watch trialists," said Parry. "When you've got so many it's hard to see the whole picture but you've got to as it's part of the job. "Good things and bad things in trialists stand out like a beacon but it's the little things in between that you might miss. You've got to be careful you evaluate them fully."
