Parry targets 50 points for survival

Tranmere boss Les Parry is confident his side are edging closer to safety ahead of this weekend's home clash with Dagenham. Rovers lie three points above the relegation zone with just six matches remaining and are in buoyant mood after beating Bournemouth 2-1 at Prenton Park last time out. Yet Parry is refusing to get carried away with that victory, which left his side on 46 points. "The aim has always been to get to 50 points as soon as possible and then get as many points as we can after that," Parry said. "The Bournemouth result does not change our outlook but it may change the amount of pressure on the players. And the mathematics do look a little better."
