Tranmere boss Les Parry is confident the club are well placed to kick on next season after two years of fights with relegation. Parry has agreed a new one-year deal at Prenton Park after steering Rovers to safety for the second season running. He said: "We've got a better team than this time 12 months ago and ended the season in a higher position and with more points, which shows we are making progress. "We're also in a better position to push on next season with the players we've already got at the club and we'll be working hard all summer to bring the right players in to complement those who are here. "We are already looking forward to pre-season."
