Parry praise for patched-up Rovers

Tranmere boss Les Parry hailed his injury-stricken side for battling back to earn a 2-2 draw against Dagenham. Romain Vincelot and Mark Arber had put the Daggers 2-0 ahead with 19 minutes remaining but Enoch Showunmi and Aaron Cresswell struck to earn the visitors a point. And Parry was delighted to have earned a draw in the circumstances after being unable to fulfil the 18-man matchday squad. He explained: "Ian Moore came in and said his knee was sore and wasn't able to travel. We ended up travelling with 17 instead of 18 and then Paul McLaren pulled his groin in the warm-up. "We've not got a centre half on the bench and then Joss Labadie goes and does his ankle quite badly so it's been a roller-coaster. "When things start happening you start to look for excuses, but I've never used injuries or anything as an excuse for our performance and I'm not going to start now. It has been a very eventful day, but the lads showed great, great character to come back."
