Parry pleased with win

Tranmere boss Les Parry was delighted with his side's 2-0 pre-season friendly victory over Nottingham Forest. Rovers took the lead in the 45th minute when trialist Nick Wood headed home a corner from Paul McLaren. Ian Thomas-Moore nodded in a cross from Marien Willemsen after the break to double the hosts' advantage and leave Parry in buoyant mood. He said: "The result does not bother me because I would have been satisfied with our performance even if we had lost the game 2-0. "We matched Forest with our effort, shape and movement. You could not tell there is a division's difference between the two teams. The lads did everything we wanted them to do." Defender Ian Goodison came off towards the end of the game after tweaking his knee and will be assessed later this week.
