Parry pleased with Rovers progress

Tranmere manager Les Parry says his side are in a better position than he had envisaged two months ago. At the turn of the year, Rovers sat just points above the drop zone but they currently lie three points clear of the bottom three with 11 matches remaining. And Parry is convinced his men can survive the drop. He said: "Two months ago, when we were a couple of points above the drop zone, I looked at the games coming up and noted we had two games per week for six weeks. "I thought if we can come out of this period in the position that we are in, then it would be a great success. "We wanted to come out of it in a better position, but we would have accepted that."
