Parry: I decided to sell Moore
Tranmere boss Les Parry insisted it was his decision to sell striker Ian Thomas-Moore to npower League Two outfit Rotherham.
The 34-year-old began his career at Prenton Park after progressing through the youth system and enjoyed spells at Nottingham Forest, Stockport, Burnley, Leeds and Hartlepool.
He returned to Rovers in January 2008 and scored 38 goals in 140 appearances in his second spell at the club, but will join his father and Millers boss Ronnie Moore at Rotherham.
Parry said: "Ian was a valuable member of our squad but we've got to take everything into consideration and when we did that, and when Ian did that, we both felt the best thing was that we accept the offer from Rotherham and that he was able to move on.
"We all know he's been linked with Rotherham for 18 months. It unsettled him at the beginning of the season because he handed in a transfer request.
"This season, I think by Ian's own admission, his form hasn't been great. He would have come back into form. In the league he has scored three outfield goals. He hasn't been in our side for the last two games and we've taken four points from them. We've got to focus and move forward."
