The Shrimpers went ahead through Scott Vernon's penalty after Francis Laurent was brought down by Zoumana Bakayogo, but Ian Goodison netted a second-half equaliser at Roots Hall.[LNB]Only a fine one-handed save from Southend keeper Steve Mildenhall stopped Rovers skipper Ian Thomas-Moore from netting a winner, although Parry admitted his side did not do enough to win the game.[LNB]"You have to be pleased with a point when you come in 1-0 down," he said. "It was a clear penalty but we lost our shape and the lad was the wrong side of him for the penalty.[LNB]"It was probably the poorest we have played away from home for a while and all in all it was a fair result.[LNB]"It was a good save to deny Ian and it would have been an injustice if we had won."[LNB][LNB]
