Parry blasts `unacceptable' first half

Tranmere boss Les Parry was disappointed with his side's first-half performance in the 1-1 draw at Hartlepool. Rovers were trailing to Antony Sweeney's 14th-minute goal and needed a late strike from Dale Jennings to secure another point towards their survival bid. Parry said: "We've played better and got nothing, but the result is all that matters. We needed something. The first half was unacceptable, they wanted it more than us and won second balls. "We played Tuesday and Friday and I'll take tiredness as an excuse in the last five minutes but not early on. We did have one cleared off the line, but they were deservedly in front at half-time."
